Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Dr. Paul LarsenFuneral Service — Monday, June 29 at 9:00 AMMission Hills Covenant Church joins countless friends, family members, pastors, churches, and missionaries in mourning the passing—and celebrating the extraordinary life and Kingdom legacy—of Dr. Paul Larsen, beloved pastor, missionary, church planter, denominational leader, mentor, and friend.

Dr. Larsen faithfully served Jesus Christ for decades as an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Covenant Church, a visionary church leader, and President of the Evangelical Covenant Church, where his humble spirit, biblical conviction, and passion for the Gospel helped shape churches and leaders across the world. Following his service as ECC President, Paul and his beloved wife, Elizabeth, answered God’s call once again to missionary service in India, faithfully investing in ministry, leadership development, and the global work of Christ.

For Mission Hills Covenant Church, Paul was more than a denominational leader—he was part of our story. As a proud church planter, founding supporter, and early voice in the planting of Mission Hills Covenant Church more than twenty years ago, his encouragement, wisdom, and spiritual investment helped shape the DNA of our church family. Paul deeply believed in the local church, disciple-making, and helping congregations live on mission for Jesus Christ.

Paul’s greatest joy, however, was not found in titles or accomplishments, but in his love for his family. He faithfully shared life and ministry with his beloved wife, Elizabeth Larsen, and deeply treasured his two daughters and granddaughter, whom he loved with great pride and affection.

Though we grieve his passing, we do not grieve without hope. We thank God for a life well lived, a race faithfully run, and a servant whose life pointed countless people to Jesus Christ. As Scripture reminds us: “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23, NIV).

Please join us in praying for Elizabeth and the Larsen family during this season of loss while also thanking God for the enduring Kingdom impact of Dr. Paul Larsen’s faithful life and ministry.
